This is the cover for Amazing Spider-Man #631 by Chris Bachalo and myself. I realize it says # 630 on the bottom. They changed the line-up at the last minute. Inks are done by hand, NOT DIGITALLY.
Ah! Thanks for the reply! I always thought that using too much white out means bad inking, so this is a bit of a relief for me! I just finished inking in a recent Tomb Raider pic (with a lot of white effects). Could you take a quick look if you have the time to let me know how I'm doin'...? Would mean a lot to me! : [link]
Lol. Not at all. There is no such thing as "bad inking" unless the final product is "bad". As long as your actually inking (as opposed to just digitally tracing), the ends justify the means....as long as youre enhancing the pencils, bringing something to the table.
As I stated in my recent journal entry, Im only going to be doing critiques a couple times a year now. I had to cut them off due to the fact that Ive been getting about 15 requests a day and just dont have the hours to devote to it any more. I have to stick to my guns and do an open call a couple of times a year. So stay tuned!
Oh, okay...I understand. I also wouldn't have the time to look at 15 requests a day...must get annoying...
One last question, though, before I leave you alone for a little while : What type of white-out do you actually use...? Is there any brand you know of that, after being applied, can handle more ink on top of it, without everything getting too bumpy? I use white opaque watercolor...but is there anything out there that's better? Thnx.
enjoy!
