Koi 2 by TimTownsend Koi 2 by TimTownsend
Just playing around with my new Nikon 5100. I am by NO means a photographer so go easy. I am completely open and eager for constructive criticism.

Great shot, Tim! Good colors too.

I'm no photographer myself. I've been playing around with my Nikon D90 for about two years now. I would shoot this as a faster shutter speed. When you do that, those water splashing effects will look frozen and crisp. Also everything else will also be sharply focused too.

where did you find so many koi at once? it's mildly frightening to see so many koi together, though these fish always gave me nightmares.

Gotta love those Koi.
I've decided to use my Auto feature on my camera most the time and tell people I 'meant' to take a certain picture...hee hee.
