This was originally a promo piece that Joe and I did when Joe first signed on at Marvel to do The Ultimates. Its been used for pretty much anything and everything at this point. TONS of fun to work on.

I can seriously tell, ha ha. The picture looks like it would have been fun to ink. Though Joe's stuff ALWAYS looks fun to ink, lol.
i love this piece. i bought it from u at the orlando megacon earlier this year . i interupted a conversation u had with two gentlemen about online comics in order to ask u how to properly say joe madureira's name.

This is one of my favorite pieces. Thanks so much for putting it up here! ^_^

Let no one rob you of that powerful motivational force known as vision...seeing not only what is...but what can be.
How did you get those fine grey tones? Never really saw your work with zip-a-tone before. Then again, it is rare to see zip-a-tone in American comics...

Though Ive used zip quite a lot over the years (I think its a lost art in Amercian comics), there was used none on this piece. If you download the full size image youll see that its all just good old fashion line work.

Sweet pic. The textures and grey tones are masterful!
where's the signature master tim? what's with thet-dog thing?is that your alias or sometin?
T-Dog was a nickname people started calling me by when I first started in comics, at Extreme Studios. It just sort of stuck. Years later Joe decided to sign a cover as "MAD", as sort of a nickname since no one can ever pronounce his name correctly. Since he was using a nickname I decided to use mine. Every once in a while Ill sign a cover as T-Dog, usually when working with Joe. Just being silly.
